DUNJ
A downloadable game for Windows
This is a public playtest. Help shape the game.
You ARE the boss
You've been the hero a thousand times. You memorized the mechanics. You called the AoE. You watched the wipe.
Now it's your turn.
DUNJ is a roguelike where YOU are the legendary MMO raid boss. Heroes spawn. You draw your AoE attacks across the arena. You survive 20 rounds against escalating raid compositions.
Or you fall to the Final Pull.
Playtest info
This is a public playtest. The full game is in development. Your feedback directly shapes what comes next.

- Soft enrage system
- Score system + combos + composition multipliers

How to play
30-second tutorial:
- Cast spell : click and drag in the arena to draw a circle
- Roar (panic raid, interrupts casts) : [Q]
- Annihilation (huge AoE, fills as you kill) : [E]
- Focus Mark (aim, release : +50% damage on target) : [F]
- Curse (aim, release : on-death AoE explosion) : [G]
- Slam (line crack toward cursor) : [R]
- Skip pre-pull : [SPACE]
- Stats panel : [F2]
- Pause : [ESC] (then [Q] to quit)
Goal: kill the entire raid each round. Survive 20 rounds for victory, then push Endless for high scores.
We need your feedback
Drop a comment below with your thoughts. Specifically helpful:
- Did you understand the gameplay in <30 seconds?
- Which round did you reach?
- Which raid composition felt strongest / weakest?
- What confused or annoyed you?
- Best moment / worst moment?
- Performance issues (FPS drops, crashes)?
- Bugs encountered?
Bug reports: drop them in comments with screenshots if possible.
Known issues
- 17 boss classes still locked (???), only The Dunj is playable. Full roster coming with the Steam release.
- Custom SFX and OST are in production, current audio is mostly placeholder
- Some round events (TWIN PULL, BERSERK, RAID LEADER) are tuned for late beta and may feel rough at low item counts
Roadmap
Coming after this playtest:
- More classes : Necromancer (sbires), Reaper (soul tether), and 15 more boss archetypes
- Item evolutions : Searing Pool x3 becomes INFERNAL POOL (Vampire Survivors style)
- Custom OST : class-specific themes
- Daily run + leaderboards
- Mythic tier R30+ : boss arena transforms when you go endless
- Steam release : full game, full content
Inspiration
- WoW raid encounters (Ragnaros, Lich King, Yogg-Saron)
- FF14 raid mechanics (Ifrit's Eruption, Bahamut's wipes, Duty Finder UX)
- Roguelike depth (Slay the Spire, Balatro)
- Build expression (Megabonk's compound loops)
- MMO addon UX (raid log, target frame)
Who made this
I'm a solo developer. This is the first game I'm taking seriously enough to release.
The concept came from watching countless MMO boss fight breakdowns. I always wanted to know what it felt like from the other side. So I made it.
Your feedback genuinely shapes what comes next. Thanks for being here.
